Annie Jones Park
Tucked away in a quieter section of Cary, but still close to a myriad of popular neighborhoods and destinations, Annie Jones Park is a breath of fresh air for visitors who want to simply take a deep breath, enjoy the fresh air, and relax. Annie Jones Park is situated on a quiet residential road, but is nevertheless just a hop, skip and a jump away from main highways in Cary, including the Cary Parkway. The modestly sized park offers a nice array of facilities for individuals and groups alike, which includes multiple athletic fields and ample room to spread out and have some outdoor fun.
The park features a total of six lighted tennis courts, a lighted field for baseball or softball, two basketball slabs for easy pick-up games, and trailhead parking for the Annie Jones Greenway walking and jogging trail. In addition, Annie Jones Park features a playground for young visitors, as well as picnic tables for easy meals in between games, and public restrooms for added convenience. The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset, and in where visitors are participating in an approved extended use activity, (such as a league baseball game or tennis lessons), the park’s hours are extended until 30 minutes after the activity is over, or until 10 p.m. at night.
